February’s Weal Topic: Lenten reflection from Jesus Wasn't Killed by the Jews
In preparation for the Lenten season at the end of February, you’re invited to a reflection and discussion of Massimo Faggioli's chapter from his book Jesus Wasn't Killed by the Jews. It traces how the church changed its relationship with the Jews during Vatican II, going from its teaching of contempt to Nostra Aetate, the declaration on the relation of the Church ton non-Christian religions proclaimed by his Holiness Pope Paul VI in 1965.
The Young Adult Ministry of SFDS + Commonweal Magazine have partnered to host The Weal get-togethers monthly in Frank’s Cafe! Come hang out with staff from Commonweal Magazine, friends from the Weal NYC group, and SFDS parishioners. We’ll engage in informal, classroom-style conversation on a variety of monthly topics.
